Finally a few days late when URL has been finally changed - good news though is Windows Live Messenger out soon - can't disclose more but its soon.

abit of a shame Milestone 7 on Live Mail (web-based) and Windows Live Spaces will not be updated till after i on summer vacation but hope to see them now and then.

I just added an 2 new modules

Windows Live Favorites Module - this is going to initally replace all the modules with my favorites in although in time this will incluide other public links like my Uni Favorites list for example.

RSS Blog - i was hoping myspace.com whould have a rss feed for each user however they seem they do not so for now this is just this website but what is cool though you be able to see blog entries hopefully thats on my myspace.com on here i submitted a similar suggestion of RSS feeds and importing RSS to myspace.com admin as well.

I have heard there is some more module gadgets rumored to be coming like one that has questions and answers, and links with other Windows Lives (Formerly MSN) Services thats US Only and in restricted beta testing

In the alight of new themes as of 2am Friday 27th i thought i experiment with the themes

at the time of writing i using an emoticons theme that has and any changes to the themes i chose will be below.

A late happy new year to all my MSN Space visitors its been this long since i wrote blogs - i been busy quite alot.

On MSN Spaces Xmas has came 4 week late. - but look at all the new things .

More features

No limit on pictures sizes although max 500 a month.

Some people might of noticed i using on of the new themes its called 'emoticons' and there is 3 theme types of emoticons - there is now a theme of love now on MSN Spaces - ideal for Valantines Day although a searcxh though theme i not found any thats christmas, new years, birthday, birthday milestones however yet but there months to come. MSN Spaces should have more things to come before it changes to Windows Live Spaces later in the year and be on an live.com address

1 Year today in about 4 hours time - my space celebrates its 1st anniversary or we could say blogaversary as these are blogs. where has 365 days gone? . I still remember registering for MSN Spaces after hearing about MSN Messenger 7.0.0425 BETA being leaked early on December 2nd 2004. I downloaded this version on the afternoon of December 2nd and registered for MSN Spaces just before 5pm (according to a email archived in my hotmail account) - i still have the MSN Space registration email welcoming me.

I finally added Windows Media Player to my space - i secretly wanted to for a while

I going to have a fortnightly contest where the visitors to my space decide the music or music video that placed on the MSN Space for the fortnight and if the voting vistors got a space they get a link to there space(s) as well. So till December 5th get voting

MP3/WMAs files whould be shown if i have them. If in the case a song e.g. Black Eyed Peas and My Humps i not got this MP3 yet i put a song by that artist i have.

that the page views per day now above 20 again like May and June. my space had a max of 15 views per day in September and October. it was really low in July and August when i was offline cause of summer vacation alot

Theme Change: Winter Theme

i decided to change my autumn theme to this this wintery theme as it more refelcts getting closer to the time of the year starting with C******* (Christmas lol ) and as a few days ago shown winter is now here *tries to keep warm*.

MSN Spaces should be ashamed not having a halloween and Guy Fawkes theme(s) cause i wanted day themes . Please MSN have a festive one - xmas treees or something similar so i can have the theme up for December 21st - January 6th .

The theme on my MSN Space i hoping to change over the weekend.This theme is to be wintery.

Prize a mention in the theme change blog if you guess correctly .

no news let on any changes to MSN Spaces. I secretly hoping that there is festive themes coming . they likely launch anything news on December 1st cause that would be MSN Spaces 1st anniversary of it being leaked to the public when MSN Messenger 7.0.0425 was leaked to the world.

chances of Windows Live Spaces morphing can not be ruled out but Microsoft likely to celebrate a annversary of its services though

Just thought i would have a cosmetic change to my space. unfortunately summer is ending and its more autumn. this theme is rather new and is nice colours. .

Even more meaning with leaves at uni starting to change colour and fall off.

MSN Spaces has been updated with new features

there is now the <HTML> button anyone who had created an Edit it button this assumed to be MSN's Solution allowing people to do more things to there blogs that require HTML.
There is now more ability to choose the font and size of text more successfully it was more restricted then before.
New: Font Size instead of Normal there is other sizes from Extra Small to Largest
Font Style - amongst Arial - one of my most like fonts. there is the handwriting font. i can see myself really enjoying that
Indents - change indents of text
Numbering - Numbering lists. these can change bullet points to numbers 1-x and vica versa easily
Bullet Points - listing things and easily to change to numbering and back if text highlighted
Copy, Cut and Paste able to do these highlight the text and press the button highlight text to copy or cut then click paste in new location
Background Colour behind text
Text Colour: Same amount of colours for Text
Insert Search Links - works with IE (Internet Explorer), allow a Blog person to have links that people want to know more about e.g. Hotmail - it would recall from MSN Search searchs for Hotmail
Insert Hyperlinks to websites like Yahoo, Google and MYSpace.com - I can not be seen to favoritism. Whats more there is the ability to do mms:// Mailto: ftp:// and other protocols likes feed:// (used for RSS and RSS2) and IM protocols like aim and Skype.
Block Search Engine Indexing of links- whats more there is the option to block Search engines like Google and MSN Search from Indexing it. something useful i feel if you do decide to place your email in a blog or something similar maybe some downloads or pictures elsewhere

Dispite the improvements here is where i get what still needed. MSN Spaces needs more emoticons. also it needs a feature similar to Live Journal and MySpace.com which have currently playing feature and Current Mood 2 good additions. However Myspace.com and Live Journal does not have some of the above features however.

Also MSN Spaces whould be good if it could insert Pictures more easily either from the photo album or external source e.g. imageshack.us!

A guestbook feature would be a good addition although its come commonplace to be blogs these days.

I also think comments to allow emoticons and features similar to the blog would be good. choosing text colour of a comment by the person commenting say etc.

People looking for places to find out about HTML can do a search for HTML Help you may ask me for help if needed though

I not seen people let use blogthings.com and the features from thats available to other Blog Sites (Myspace.com Live Journal) with polls quizs puzzles, games, music and video etc. maybe music and video works without img dynsrc and shows the ability to stop play etc controls. in a few days if i can i give a list of sites that could be considered although they may not 100% totally work with the MSN Spaces Services and would not be an as will work list

MSN Spaces: Theme Change

After having the night background for a while i thought i need a background change. MSN Spaces however do need to improve customization giving us more choice.

Personally My Space (myspace.com) is the best Journal Site Available with Live Journal then MSN Spaces. The Other 2 Journal Sites has more customisation if you are understand how to do them

I choose this background cause it nearly summer and with the UK having the Hottest Day this year today so far it be good to use this one hope summer is lovely

Ever wanted to edit the html? and add something like 'Click Here' links background sound a clip of video or some other customization.

follow instructions in at this link Edit It to create a edit it link button for your links toolbar you would have to have a screen like this up however then press the button to get the extras

People maybe aware of the blog it button/ link under each MSN Spaces Blog entry where you can quote or reference what somebody else said. there is not a Blog it service say if you want to reference a non MSN Space blog e.g. Live Journal entry or just a BBC news article page say this is where the blog it button comes in handly check out the link and follow the instructions and if there is a article or blog want to reference say click on the links bar and click Blog It.

How to do a guestbook?

I have had a few people ask how to do a Guestbook.

Basically a guestbook is a blog entry which the title is 'My Guestbook' or just simply 'Guestbook' - both suitable names.
The blog message is a few lines to perswading a person to leave a message (a comment to the guestbook) a blog message like 'Please leave a message' is on the right lines but a bit more might be needed.
Remember to click 'Publish' especially if you new you may forget that the Publish button is there
Every blog entry has a permalink and traceback address after you clicked publish - in preview space view find the permalink and copy this
Create a list name Guestbook and a entry (to list) and paste Permalink in URL field and in name field write something like 'Sign my Guestbook'

Can't access a space?

Answer space is restricted if its from a guestbook the person who left the message change there permissions to public other solution is to Not leave there link/ request a person view cause they can't

I submitted the following as suggestions to improve MSN Spaces at 3.15am what do you think?

Possible additions :
1. Guestbook for visitors - quite alot of users at the moment using blogs but a guestbook feature may be better
2. Friends List - Linking friends everyone can few everyone elses if public and those thats allowed but a validation i Joe Bloggs friend say
3. MSN Radio and/or WMP whats playing - i got the public beta reading mess.be and word of Mouth there WMP song telling in some Version 7's(shown when on MSN of course)
4. Current Mood - Happy, Sad, Excited etc
5. Polls/ Votes ability for opinions someone might have something like
ex. Whats your favorite colour red, blue etcs
6. Profile more options to give or ability to make custom fields seen a few people having eye colour and fav food in about me blog entries

Emoticons in comments - someone else please ask its the feedback link via a questionaire

more emoticons - the MSN 7 set

These additions would make MSN Spaces one if not the best blog/Journal thing on the net
